"There is nothing so momentary as a sporting achievement, and nothing so lasting as the memory of it." This was the words of one of the participants of 113 Aquathlon Singapore 2018 and definitely many endurance sports athletes would agree to it.

The 5th edition of the 113 Aquathlon was held on 21st Oct 2018 at Casuarina Grove, East Coast Park. 113 Aquathlon is an event catered for all multi-sports athletes regardless of professional elites, seasoned or beginners who are keen to explore and challenge their limits. With this concept in mind, 113 Aquathlon had

5 race categories to cater to athletes of all fitness level and different age groups. The Ultra category was the toughest category which consisted of a 2.25km swim / 21km run (Men / Women). With over 500 participants in total on that day trying to compete with each other and more importantly to outdo themselves and to push their bodies to the limit, it was certainly a sight to behold where blue/pink/yellow swim caps could be seen bobbing along the coast of east coast.

113 Aquathlon was also the first multisport event that Titan Singapore was involved in. Prior to the actual race day, there was a closed session 113 Aquathlon Clinic, powered by TitanSG held in Sentosa where beginners where given tips on how to swim in open water and running techniques. Athletes were also introduced to the sports apparels from Titan Singapore, which include competitively designed compression wears and running socks for added sports performance and recovery.

The nature of a multi-sport event adds a whole new dimension to racing and the smiles on all the participants is certainly the best testimonial that everyone is a winner! For those that are still contemplating on whether to sign up for a Aquathlon, look through the pictures and quit hesitating! See you at the next one!
